ROGUES' KINGDOM

Rogues’ Kingdom is another project that I’m super proud of. It’s a Kickstarter, I’m doing with artist Jeff Johnson with inks and colors by Christopher Schenck. We’re Kickstarting it issue-by-issue, as that seems to suit Jeff’s artistic output the best. However, I’m sure you’ll all agree that the art is worth waiting for. Jeff aspires to something akin to Hal Foster, although I assure him it’s okay to just be John Cullen Murphy wants in a while.

ROGUES' KINGDOM

It’s a tale about well… rogues and kingdoms, is the simplest description, although it obviously goes far deeper than that.

The world of Rogues’ Kingdom predominantly features three kingdom, which will be revealed one at a time as our story grows and drama travels. It begins with our main roguish heroes; sell-sword Rondo Manway and young street thief/cut purse Peachy Least as they enjoy a moment of good fortune and are able to gain entrance into the court of King Reynald in the kingdom of Lumpland. Their intention is to steal whatever they can and get out of Lumpland as quickly as they can, but of course things don’t go the way they planned and soon the pair are caught up in dangerous intrigue and assassination attempts on the royal family that they find themselves embroiled in preventing.

ROGUES' KINGDOM

The series also features a rich cast of supporting characters, as well as one bright star in Lumpland royal family, Princess Terra who, wishing to have the adventurous life of a boy instead of boring palace life, sneaks out onto Lumpland’s street in the young male guise of “the Terror” to duel and cause mischief.

That is until her family comes under threat at which point she must use her fighting skills for the greater good along with Rondo and Peachy.

There are three kingdoms and we just scratch the surface of one of them with our first arc in Lumpland, before our rogue-heroes venture to the dragon-guarded mountain kingdom of Castle-Infinita where even more danger and mystery await them.

Rogue’s Kingdom is an epic saga which building issue-by-issue, Kickstarter-by Kickstarter, but don’t worry, each new Issue launch will have the prior issues available for purchase as add-on, so it’s never too late to get on board.
